Prof. Raja Mohammed Firhad Raja Azidin
Prof. Dr. Raja Mohammed Firhad Raja Azidin is a Professor and Dean at the Faculty of Sports Science and Recreation, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia. He is known for his expertise in sport biomechanics, strength and conditioning, football performance, and injury prevention.
He earned his Ph.D. in Sport Biomechanics and Strength Conditioning from Liverpool John Moores University, United Kingdom. He also holds a Master of Health Science in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Sydney, Australia, and a Bachelor of Sport Science from UiTM.
His research focuses on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury risk, soccer match-play fatigue, biomechanics, muscle strength, and return-to-play assessment. He has published widely in international journals and presented his work at conferences in Malaysia, Europe, Brazil, and the United States.
Prof. Firhad has held several professional roles in football and sports performance, including Head of Sport Science and Performance and Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for UiTM Football Club. He has also worked with football organizations and professional teams through biomechanics, fitness, and injury-screening programs.
At present, he teaches biomechanics, physical conditioning, fitness, wellness, and exercise physiology, while supervising postgraduate research in sports science and injury prevention.
