Prof. Eef Hogervorst

Prof. Eef Hogervorst is Professor of Biological Psychology at Loughborough University, United Kingdom. She completed her PhD at Maastricht University on age-related cognitive decline and later worked at the Universities of Oxford and Cambridge, and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, as a neuropsychologist and epidemiologist studying Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, and cognitive ageing.

Her research focuses on early dementia screening, cognitive ageing, and modifiable risk and protective factors for dementia, including hormones, exercise, nutrition, psychosocial factors, and lifestyle. Since joining Loughborough University in 2005, she has developed international collaborations in the UK, China, India, Indonesia, and Australia, and has contributed to dementia diagnosis, dementia-friendly design, and interventions to improve cognition and mood in older adults
